A new producer who has released some impressive wines from the get-go WINE Magazine, February 2007
Being a small Boutique Wine Estate, we have to make sure that we make good wines. Which probably explains why our first vintage got such good ratings (4 and 3.5 stars) at WINE Magazines New Releases tastings, and that our first Single Vineyard Shiraz got a gold medal at the SA Young Wine Show 2007.
Accredited as a Proudly South African Wine Estate
Only 25% of the South African private cellars are registered as Wine Estates. Which means that we grow our own grapes, we have our own wine cellar and the whole winemaking process - including bottling and labeling - takes place on our farm. Accredited as an official Proudly South African-member, La Vigne is found to satisfy important criteria including practicing fair labour standards and a good environmental standard.
