Long overshadowed by the success of the Franschhoek chefs; custodians of the “Gourmet Capital of SA” mantle; the Vignerons de Franschhoek are challenging the more celebrated wine producing areas with meaningful strides in quality being made in recent years. With 42 active members and a hectareage responsible for roughly one percent of the national plantings; the organisation boasts many of the most innovative and progressive producers in SA amongst its members.
