Itumeleng Pooe, the Chief Executive Officer of Franschhoek Wine Valley & Tourist Association, is an incredibly dynamic individual. She’s a power-house of ideas and energy and constantly ensures that Franschhoek, as a world-class destination, is kept on track. She’s been involved in the travel industry for 15 years, 10 of which were spent at SA Tourism where she was, amongst other things, the marketing manager for Asia & Oceania. Itumeleng, a self confessed adrenaline junkie, believes that her love of exhilarating outdoor activites and time spent with her two children help keep stress at bay and are responsible for her youthful good looks.

Manager

Siegfried Schäfer, the FWVTA Manager of Administration & Special Projects, is the wheel that keeps all the other organizational cogs turning. When he’s not in the office, which is hardly ever, he can be found working for one of the community based organizations he’s involved in. In what little free time he claims to have you’ll probably find him on the tennis court or hiking in the surrounding mountains with his camera close at hand. His most closely guarded secret is that he’s a closet action movie fan.

Development

Lindy April deals with development projects, particularly social development, and also manages a number of events. After hours she plays around of her guitar, plays the odd bit of tennis and enjoys weekends with the yummy local wine.

Events

Darielle Craddock is FWVTA’s energetic events co-ordinator. She feels her love for organising others' lives makes her perfect for this job! Her family have their roots in Franschhoek with her mom growing up at the old Swiss Farm Excelsior. When she is not running around organising events you will catch her at the Local gym working up a sweat or in one of our amazing restaurants over indulging in all the good things in life!

Bookkeeper

Lesley Murgatroyd, the FWVTA Bookkeeper, constantly keeps this organisation on its toes. Her two daughters live overseas and she loves visiting and exploring their respective countries. She’s passionate about different cultures and spends a large amount of her time delving into the history of the places she has visited.

Vignerons Secretary

Felicity Rennie, the Vignerons Secretary, is always on the run and busy with something. On most days you’ll find her busy with marketing and event support, liaising with the media and arranging training seminars. To keep herself sane she spends her free time traveling, reading, walking and indulging in the very delicious local wine.
